GRAPE VARIETY: Blend: Macabeo (50%) and Monatrell (50%)

VINE: The vineyards are located in the best areas for each variety.

CLIMATE: The Penedes enjoys a wide variety of micro-climates, marked by the different altitudes and the proximity of the sea. The climate is typically Mediterranean, mild and warm. The Penedes Marítim is milder due to the proximity of the sea. The Penedes Superior has higher rainfall and larger contrasts between maximum and minimum temperatures. The Penedes Central is a mixture of the two microclimates

SOIL: The vineyard are located in Penedes area. The Macabeo vineyard is in Garraf mountines and has poor soils at 420 m. the altitude is perfect for this variety. The best soils for Monastrell grape are the rich ones like the Foix Valley (210 m.)

WINEMAKING: Traditional method. Second fermentation in bottle and aged for 20 months minimum on it´s lees.

HARVEST: Hand-harvested in 16 kg. cases.

2014 VINTAGE: The official rating of 2014 vintage has not been released yet, but the wineries share the opinion that it was very good despite lack of rain.

PRODUCTION: 50.000 bottles.

Volatile Acidity: 0.2 g/L AcH Total Sulfur: 18 mg/l Residual Sugar: 5.0 g/L

TASTING NOTES: Fine and persistent bubble. Clear, franc and elegant on the nose where fresh red fruit dominant over white fruit, strawberry over the rest. In the mouth shows the freshness and fruity elegance with perfect carbonic integration. Balanced, alive, soft, fresh elegant and persistent rosé sparkling wine.
